Weight Loss Article - Tips for Getting Started
"Ok, I've made my purchase, now what do I do?"
Now that you have made up your mind to empower yourself
with one of our weight loss programs, let's make sure that you get
off to a great start!
As impatient as you are to tackle the program head-on, we urge you
to take your time and pace yourself regardless of the program you
selected. Most diet programs have specific strategies
that you need to learn in order to make them work properly for you.
You have waited years for the kind of change your new program will
inspire, so waiting a few more days to ensure your success won't
hurt a bit. Before starting, follow these handy tips and guidelines.
Plan to start your program on a Sunday
Because Sundays are usually a person's least active day, we
encourage our clients to have their weeks run from Monday to Sunday.
The day before your "week" begins (if applicable), read
the chapter that corresponds with the week you are entering so that
you are prepared. You will also want to plan your menus and workout
schedule for the upcoming week on this day. Doing this on your least
busiest day of the week will ensure that you can plan properly.
Window shop, but don't proceed
When you first get your weight loss diet program, there will
be a great temptation to just take off and run with it immediately.
We highly advise that you take some time to read the instructions
and familiarize yourself with the software before you start officially.
Go ahead and get acquainted with the program, but do not start your
program at this time! Instead, read the manual's introduction and
test to make sure you know how ot use it.
You will learn how to do everything in due time and the weight loss
programs will teach you what you need to know before you need to
know it. For now, just give it a little test drive and be sure to
read the program manual's introduction.
Do not read ahead
It makes no sense to read about week five when you are still
in week two. While it's perfectly okay to glance ahead and see what's
coming, do not try and read the manual in one or two sittings. We
want you to be able to grasp the concepts within the pages and reading
too much too fast will only reduce your level of comprehension.
Read each week's chapter the day before the week starts and refer
to it as needed throughout the week.
Clean out the cupboards
In most cases, cupboards are filled with no-no's. Make it a
point to rid your cupboards of the most dangerous culprits. While
you will certainly want to keep some craving-fighters present for
the infallible moments of weakness, make sure you don't have a pantry
full of goodies. If other members of your family are not joining
the weight loss program and demand that you keep their snacks handy,
try and rearrange the cupboards so that the junk food all resides
on the same shelf...then avoid it!
Take notice of your habits
In the days leading up to your beginning, pay attention to your
eating habits. Don't necessarily change them, just pay attention
to them. Think about what might be done differently once you start.
Once you understand the basics behind your new weight loss diet
program, you will soon generate a natural enthusiasm for change.
In conclusion...have patience
Take your time, go step-by-step, and progress slowly so that
your body can adapt to a new and steady change in your metabolism.
If you follow the program as designated week to week, you will absolutely
see results. Rushing through weeks, taking short-cuts or accelerating
through the program will only negatively affect the outcome.
The concepts discussed within these program's manuals are not guesses...they
are proven methods used by hundreds of people who eventually met
and maintained their goal weight.
